So I have had this recurring problem with my ankles.
Seems I have some strange form of the Gout. My ankle on my left leg started hurting and was really getting sore and I couldnt figure out what was wrong. After a few days it got incredibly painful. I would qualify this as the worst pain i have EVER felt. This is going to the DOCTOR pain! Ouch!
My girlfriend, who was wonderfully supportive and caring forced me to go to the doctor after a particularly bad episode one night at 4 a.m. when I was crawling around on the floor on my knees because I couldn't put any weight on my ankle at all. I needed water, so I crawled out of the room and into the kitchen to kneel at the sink to fill up a glass. It was at this point that I realized... "um this may not be completely normal."
So, the next morning, she looked up a doctor online that was in my insurance network and forced me to make an appointment. I hate going to the doctor. But this guy was pretty good. We will call him Dr. Body. Not cause he had a particularly GOOD one...just cause his name makes you think of that (the names have been changed here to protect the innocent). Anyway, this doctor prescribes me a bunch of Percosets... and then refilled the prescription a few times. Sheesh... I could have become addicted to those things. But they made the boo boo feel better fo sho.
So I limped around for a bunch of weeks... barely able to walk at some points... but i DID manage to go to and DANCE at a really fun Greek dance with my girlfriend Lia.
Seems like I may have had this same problem last year in my OTHER ankle. I will have to keep tabs on this one I guess. Sheesh... just what I need... AN ANNUAL BOO BOO.
Will keep you posted on this for sure!
Boo Boo De Jour
Well... where do I start? Back a long time ago, someone told me that I was a complainer. Maybe I am. But apparently I am always talking about what is physically bugging me. This became affectionately known as the "Boo Boo De Jour" or to translate... the injury of the day. So, to try out this whole blogging thing, I thought I would document them here... for ALL to see. Ouch!
